Chat203 is one line of code. Paste it once and the chat appears on every page of your site, matching your colors and font.
Your line of code (copy your personal one in Chat203 from Setup, or from Settings → Websites):
Wix
Needs a paid Wix plan with your own domain connected (Wix's rule for custom code).
- In your Wix dashboard, open Settings.
- Scroll to Advanced and click Custom Code.
- Click + Add Custom Code and paste your line of code.
- Name it Chat203. Under Add Code to Pages choose All pages and Load code once.
- Under Place Code in choose Body - end, then click Apply.
- Open your live site (not the editor preview). The chat button appears in the corner.
WordPress
Use the free Chat203 AI Chat plugin from WordPress.org. Works on any WordPress site where you can install plugins (WordPress 6.5 or newer). You paste your site key, not the line of code. Find the key in Chat203 under Setup or Settings; it starts with c203_.
- In WordPress, go to Plugins → Add New Plugin and search for Chat203.
- On Chat203 AI Chat, click Install Now, then Activate.
- Go to Settings → Chat203, paste your site key and click Save Changes.
- Open your site. If you use a caching plugin, clear its cache first.
Can't install plugins? Paste the line of code instead with a header-and-footer plugin you already use: put it in the Footer box and save.
Squarespace
Needs a Squarespace plan that includes Code Injection.
- Open Settings → Advanced → Code Injection (in newer menus: Website → Pages → Custom Code → Code Injection).
- Paste your line of code into the Footer box.
- Click Save and open your live site.
Shopify
- Go to Online Store → Themes. On your current theme, click … then Edit code.
- Open layout/theme.liquid.
- Find
</body>near the end and paste your line of code just above it. - Click Save and open your store.
Any website
Paste your line of code just before </body> on every page, or once in your site's shared footer or layout template. That's it.
Sites with a strict security policy
If your site sends a Content-Security-Policy header and the chat button doesn't appear, ask your developer to allow Chat203:
The browser console names the exact rule that's blocking it.
data-offset-y="76" to the line on that page to raise the chat button 76 pixels there only. data-offset-x (sideways) and data-position="left" work the same way (0 to 200 pixels).Check that it works
- Open your live site in a private/incognito window.
- Click the chat button and ask something your website answers, like your hours.
- Switch to Spanish with the ES button and ask again.
- Don't see the button? Wait a minute (we cache it briefly), check that your site's address is in your Chat203 settings, then open your site in a private window. Still nothing?
